Veteran Care

The VA’s Homemaker & Home Health Aide (VA H/HHA) Program helps Veterans stay safe and independent at home by providing trained aides (supervised by a registered nurse) to help Veterans with personal care and daily activities.

Designed for those of any age, the VA H/HHA Program helps Veterans who need assistance with everyday tasks, are feeling isolated, or have caregivers who need a break.

Services are provided through VA-approved agencies like Heroes Home Care and can be scheduled as needed. This care can also be combined with other VA programs like respite care or skilled home health.

Eligibility Requirements:

* Must have a need for assistance with at least TWO Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
* No service time restrictions — All Veterans enrolled in VA healthcare may qualify.
* No income restrictions.

3 – Social worker contacts you to evaluate your needs.
